Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 on a crop sensor

I've been searching for a cheap prime to fit between the 24 and the 50 for a while.

The 40mm is a very nice lens but is too close to the 50mm

The YN35mm has a good sharpness @f2.2 but it still too wide for my taste.

So while bidding for a 28mm f1.8, i've found a very cheap 28mm f2.8.

I jumped in to you without really beliving it would have been a solution.

Well, it is sharp, the AF system is ok, it is light and i does not look that bad. But most of all i really like the focal lenght. 28mm on my crop sensor (or 45mm in FF equivalence) seems to be the focal i was searching for.

I know that 2.8 is slow and indeed i will try the f1.8 in future, but for the price the performance made me really happy.
