It depends on the reason that you travel. Is it for pleasure or for some kind of job.

If it is for some kind of job, then you can try to get a similar body. A APS-C camera offers something more lightweight. A D7500 could be something in between in combination of 70-200mm for more reach, while shooting quite fast. A D500 would be an ultimate choice though it is heavy and large as a regular DSLR FF camera. A D7200 also could be a choice for having dual card slots.

If it is for pleasure, I would avoid it. Personally my only large and heavy lens is a 70-200mm f/2.8. The second one a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art which I use instead of 24-70mm lens. The other lens are small and light to carry. I have also the choice to select a Nikon 85mm f/1.8G lens instead of the 70-200mm. To carry such heavy lenses you need a large backpack. Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 is also a big and heavy lens as the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 will be.
