Contax Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 MMJ weird flare? Characteristic or defect?

Hi I recently bought a contax zeiss 35mm f/1.4 MMJ over ebay and I noticed a weird flare that shows up at the top right and bottom left corners of the lens when it's wide open. This problem is easily overcome by stopping down to f/2 or just avoiding light sources coming from those directions, however, it's a real bummer to not be able to use it at f/1.4 or compromising shots because of the direction of the light source. It's adapted to a Sony A7III using a fotasy adapter. The adapter seems fine with grooves on the inside like most other adapters, so I'm unsure of the cause of this weird flare. I attached 4 jpgs

Top Right f/1.4

Top Right f/2

Bottom left f/1.4

Bottom Left f/2

with the light source hitting from the top right and bottom left at f/1.4 and f/2 respectively.

Can anyone help me figure out if this is an issue with the glass? If so can anyone point me in the right direction of getting it looked at by a professional in NYC?

Thanks! And sorry for the janky test shots. I was in a hurry
