I was reading that the 90D with UHS2 can shoot 25 images before it slows down but when I tested at the store we could only get 17 images showing on the screen and OVF.

No matter what lens , card and shutter speed it would not allow more. It was set to RAW only and all other settings off

like noise reduction

auto lighting opt

tone priority

all lens aberration correction was off

Anybody with a 90D can confirm this . By the way JPG only was at 28.

Many things can influence your burst - card type, card speed, shutter speed, image size, AF mode.

Are you saying that it would only shoot 28 (presumably large) jpeg before it started slowing down ?

It sounds to me like it may have been a relatively slow UHS-I SD card - maybe Sandisk Ultra.

There has been a couple of recent threads on UHS-II cards in the M forum and R forum which would be relevant for 90D.
