Godox V860ii HSS and Overheating

Have been using my V860ii on my Nikon Z6 for a couple of weddings in the last few weeks and have noticed that when using it in high speed sync the speedlight soon displays the overheating symbol and prevents it from working.

i can’t say whether it’s something I have noticed before when using on my dslrs but while I understand you loose flash output in HSS will it also cause the speedlight to work much harder as well thereby potentially causing overheating?  Am I being a bit to over zealous and expecting a bit too much with my use of HSS?

Thanks for any help
