I find my new 200d sensor over exposes compared to my 100d sensor

The 100d /  sl1 sensor was great in blazing sunlight had a very film like highlight response, very gentle

I just got a 200d / sl2 and find that like the Nikon d5300 i had it overexposes too easily in sunlight

Conversely it is much better in the dark at high iso

But i prefer the 100d sensor

I've heard of people preferring older sensors- particularly the d700 and 5d 1 as they are nore 'film like'

Today I had my sl2 set up same way and same lens as my sl1 with highlight tone priority.  Even with minus 1 ev dialed in it exposed way to hot.
