Can I manual focus a 12-32 on my EM5?

I've been tempted to buy a Lumix 12-32mm, which I've read people use on OMD bodies.  But since the 12-32 doesn't have a focusing ring, I'm not sure either how I'd check the focus or what I'd do if the autofocus weren't exactly where I wanted it to be. That is, unless it's by my old pocket camera tactic, which was just to focus on something else that I guessed to be at the correct distance, and which wasn't obstructed by foreground twigs or whatever was thwarting the camera from autofocusing on my subject. Is this what OMD users of this 12-32 are doing for tough autofocus situations? Or is there something I'm missing? Thanks, anybody who can clear this up for me.
