We've been digging around under the hood of the Nikon Z50. We look at what Nikon's first APS-C mirrorless camera does and doesn't offer.
I've been using my pl8 for a while and there are some issues
I wanna have a camera with
2. screen that can be hidden.
so, I have a feeling to move on to M5 mark2
do you guys think it's just waste of money?
I think you should keep your PL8 and buy one of the refurbished M5 II cameras on eBay for $400.
The M5 II takes no better pictures in ideal conditions than any other Olympus camera from the PL 5 up through the the PL9.
But the the M5 II is about twice as nice as a PL5-9.
The M5 II has a brilliant viewfinder.
Ot has stabilization good for six stops as opposed to about four stops for your PL8.
It’s weatherproof and has a lot more function buttons, levers, and control wheels.
It’s better balanced for larger lenses with the optional bottom grip.
See my thread Best $400 Olympus camera for more gushing praise of the M5 II.
But, your PL8 looks more like a Leica than the M5 II, and it’s paid for, and it’s worth maybe $200 if you tried selling it.
Get a fast prime for your PL8 and use it as a walking around camera, is my advice.
The M5 II rivals the best cameras in this world for function, but it can’t match the rangefinder looks of the PL8.
