A hike up the Schoberstein mountain

To get to the top of Schoberstein at 1037m, it's a fairly easy hike with just a few places to scramble up and over. Total elevation gain is about 500m from a car park below. Today started off cool and a bit misty but soon got a lot warmer as the sun came out. Here's a few shots from Austria for your comments.

First shot shows the mist over the lake covering all except the very top of the hill in the distance. The last shot in this post shows the same scene on the way down when the mist had cleared

A view through the trees of the beautiful turquoise coloured Lake Attersee, and behind that, there's Lake Mondsee.
The cliff in the distance is the Drachenwand which translates to "Dragon wall"

The path is on the left and on the right a view towards the Weissenbachtal with its forested hills fading away layer by layer thanks to the haze.

A closer look at the Weissenbachtal valley

My wife is nearly always willing for a quick pose along the way

View from the summit of Schoberstein

Below us was a second summit

On the way down the mist had cleared, opening up the view over Lake Attersee

Thanks for looking

C&C welcome
