First BIF with A7R4
5

Today was my first day out with the A7R4 at the bird preserve in Irvine California.

It was hot with little wind this morning but I managed to catch a few flying.

I was shooting with the 100-400 GM in Manual Exposure with F7.1 and Shutter at 1/1250 with auto iso. I used this mode as it was the only way I could really catch fast moving birds in focus with the R3

The speed of focus acquisition and accuracy is definitely better than my A7R3. There were almost no shots which did not have some part of the bird in focus. Unfortunately at F7.1 depth of field is still a bit narrow for near targets and 1/1250 perhaps a bid slow.

Here is my first BIF. Snuck up to the heron while he was fluffing on the ground and got a nice shot a takeoff. (Processed from Raw in Adobe PS)
