Sending photos to clients - Tuned for print or for screen?

I am an amateur who sometimes makes shoots but not for a living. I like darker portraits and my question is how you deal with the files sent to a customer.

Lets say, they did not ask you to print the photos. You just deliver the files from the shoot and have little or no input on how or where they print.

Knowing that there are many issues with printing, settings and colors to tackle:

1. How you treat your photos  to them for being "screen friendly" vs. "print friendly"?

- Do you send multiple?

- Do you ballpark an average histogram between the two?

- Contract on what to expect - print only, screen only?

I mainly see the issues when I use dark painted canvas backdrops with a vague gradient behind my model - sometimes it simply gets to dark on print do be noticeable but looks washed out on screen if I brighten it.

Thanks you to anyone taking time to answer,
