D3x little shoot
Despite not being my favorite Nikon, D3x always gets the job done.
New gear is always nice for sure, no one can deny that.
But far more important than new gear, is investing in the gear behind the viewfinder.
Take what you have and use it to the fullest, then even a lowly piece of gear (not exactly what the D3x is, but you get the idea) will output amazing work.
I thought I'd share this in this crazy bubble we live in (DPR), with all this nonsense talk of DSLR being dead, you need mirrorless this, you need mirrorless that or you're a dinosaur, bla bla bla.
Just a humble reminder it's not about the latest gear.
It rarely, rarely is (if it has ever been at all).
Model: gorgeous, lovely to work with, and super humble, Juliane Neitzke.
Also not about budget.
The above was done as a hobbyist, as I don't care to go back to the pro world since 2014, so it was done in a very modest budget.
It's all about taking what you have and extracting the most out of it.
