Thanks for sharing your experience. To my eye, I can't discern any notable difference here. I think you also have the SX70 which would be a more important comparison for me. Have you already shared that?
Yes, please. Your thoughts on the SX70, especially IQ vs SX50/60 and camera ergonomics. Thanks.
..Currently, ANAYV does not have the SX70 camera..
Correct, John.
..ergonomically, all three cameras are about the same..
Well...Canon stated a change for the SX60...and I recall a worse holding experience with the SX50.
..the major differences are, SX50 (12mp), SX60 (16mp), SX70 (20mp)..
..if having a hotshoe is important, then get either the SX50 or SX60..
..if the quality of the EVF is important, the EVF gets better with each generation..
Indeed. Sx50 the worst, by far. SX70 the best.
..if the buffer size is important, then get the SX70, which have an amazing buffer..
I think SX60 also really good buffer. Can't fill it up, even with slower SD card.
Not so for the SX50...plus only 2fps. SX60 shoots over 6fps...quite a big jump up.
SX70 a bit more, but i forgot if it's 7fps..or higher?
..if you have not seen this posting before, the below link have pictures from all three cameras..

..and if you have not seen the post from Bill Hansen, see the link below and browse down to my post, where can see many picture links from my SX70 camera..

..from the three cameras, can't go wrong with any of them..
..ANAYV, made a good choice, going in the middle with his SX60..
..Cheers, John..
ANAYV
..Thanks for the clarifying the ergonomics between the SX50 & SX60 cameras..
..just to my hands the SX50 feels fine, and I don't have any complaints about it..

..and thanks for notifying about the good buffer for the SX60, I only shoot it in single shot mode, really good to know..
..I did test the SX70 cameras buffer (as I remember it was from a request that came from you), and was amazed at the seems bottomless buffer it's capable of (wished Nikon could do the same with their superzooms cameras as well)..
..did a search, and seems the SX70 is capable of high burst capture of 10fps.. and the SX60 is capable of high burst capture of 6.4fps, which is very good..

..thanks for sharing & happy snapping..
..Cheers, John..
