Thanks for sharing your experience. To my eye, I can't discern any notable difference here. I think you also have the SX70 which would be a more important comparison for me. Have you already shared that?

Yes, please. Your thoughts on the SX70, especially IQ vs SX50/60 and camera ergonomics. Thanks.

..Currently, ANAYV does not have the SX70 camera..

..ergonomically, all three cameras are about the same..

The one thing I disliked on the SX50 HS was the absence of a proximity sensor for the EVF. Drove me crazy....

..the major differences are, SX50 (12mp), SX60 (16mp), SX70 (20mp)..

..if having a hotshoe is important, then get either the SX50 or SX60..

Never used the hotshoe so not a big deal. Always shoot outdoors in good light.

..if the quality of the EVF is important, the EVF gets better with each generation..

..if the buffer size is important, then get the SX70, which have an amazing buffer..

That's good to know. The SX50 was not a fast shooter or fast with the AF compared to my FZ300.

..if you have not seen this posting before, the below link have pictures from all three cameras..

Not a great deal of difference though I expected a better performance from the SX70 in this comparison.

..and if you have not seen the post from Bill Hansen, see the link below and browse down to my post, where can see many picture links from my SX70 camera..

..from the three cameras, can't go wrong with any of them..

..ANAYV, made a good choice, going in the middle with his SX60..

..Cheers, John..

Thanks again.
