There is no alternative for me—at least until NX500 becomes technologically obsolete. Why not buy another used NX camera? The price-benefit ratio can’t be better than NX line.
If all the NX500s mysteriously disappear from the face of earth, then I’d probably buy Canon EOS-M system. Until then, I’m happy with my NX system.
Agree with Massao.
Would only add, think about transitioning to NX1 for EVF, which is not an NX500 component.
Good luck with your evaluation and Please let us know your choice,

Hi Massao, TuVuVu.
Thanks for your comments.
Yes, I did considered some other NX used body. I'd read that other models also suffer from random freezes and unreliable dials.
I've had several NX cameras: NX10, NX11, NX1000, NX1100, NX200, NX20, NX300, NX3300, and NX500, often more than one copy of the samel model (had three NX300 at one time, and two NX20's), and only ONE NX300 had problems with mode dial after at least 10,000 pics. Don't remember any freeizing issue. It might had happened once or twice but that can happen with any camera.
Besides, I see some other things I don't like in my NX30 (I assume there are in other NX models too). Noise performance sometimes is good, but another I get 'the watercolor effect' or heavy color noise; I mean, it's not consistent from one pic to another. Those effects are visible in RAW and JPEG, so it's difficult to get nice results from those pics. It could be due to sensor heat or humidity, but for me, it's a no no.
Its likely that your NX30 is faulty.
I think take pictures have to be fun, but with my NX30 I'm not getting that.
That's why I'm looking to another system.
Now that I'd tryed the Lumix G85 I learned a couple of things: Idn't realize the good system NX was, the pics with 30mm f2 pancake lens are so good, specialy for the price, but also what is missing in NX30 that G85 do have: Quick operation, reliable function, consistent quality from pic to pic, environment sealing, IBIS (OMG), ecosystem (plenty of lens, flash and accesories)...
But, I miss the IQ from NX30 (when it works, hehehe). Thats why I'm looking for another system that try to balance the compromises between NX30 and, says, G85.
I wouldn't even bother with an m4/3. See discussion here for reference.
Kind of pics I want to make: Social (some weddings or Quinceaños)
Most systems are good for that. Best is with Nikon and Canon because their flash system is way ahead of everyone else.
, street
Any camera is good for that.
, travel
Any MILC is good for that
and family.
Any camera is good for that.
What I'm looking for: nice, sweet and creamy bokeh,
You need good lenses for that. System doesn't matter as long as its with APS-C or bigger sensor.
good AF,
= Nikon/Canon
reliability,
= Nikon/Canon/Pentax
fast and consistent operation,
=any new model from any manufacturer
in-body flash (pref.)
= Most DSLR's, few MILC's from Sony, etc.
IBIS (pref.),
= Pentax/Sony/Fujifilm
no-so-expensive glasses and accesories...
= Canon
I think I'm lost, hahaha.
Yes
