Z6 Dummy Battery Voltage

I'm trying to get my Z6 to work with a dummy battery.

It seems to work with an 8.6 volt supply, but not 8v or 7.6v.

I'm using a dummy battery from Juicebox that says it is "Fully decoded; works with camera's OS and on-screen battery readout." that is supposed to work with 7-9 volts.

I'm assuming that 7.6 or 8v is just not enough to make the Z6 happy?

The problem is I only have the 8.6 supply coming out of a field monitor, and it has to be on to supply the power, and it draws 0.5 amps, and that puts me over my power budget for my remote astrophotography setup. And I don't need to run the monitor continuously.

Anybody know of a 12v to 8.6v converter that is safe to use with the Z6?

Thanks,

Jerry
