Some thoughts on Constructive Criticism
29

Here is a good definition of constructive criticism that I found online:

"Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one."

If you cannot offer constructive criticism, you should not comment. If you comment keep in mind both what you say and how you say it. Destructive criticism offers nothing to the photographer who has gone out on a limb and is vulnerable. It contributes nothing to the forum, is not a learning tool, and carries a negative energy.

Thank You

Rick
