Said this for years - ever since I got the 50 MPIX Canon 5DS/R

Interesting comparison. And he did come to the conclusion that to make big prints, that the number of pixels did matter.

MPIX does matter. On print and on screen. And for cropping.

No way around it.

Still, everytime - every single time - we get a higher MPIX camera people come out saying "no one needs 8 / 10 / 12 / 16 / 20 / 24 / 30 / 36 / 50 MPIX. Seemingly no one ever needed more MPIX after we passed the 6 MPIX limit said to match film grain.

Interestingly, no one keeps shooting @12 MPIX. Wonder why?
