It's been awhile since I shopped around for one. I'm thinking of a 64G for 4K.
Can anyone recommend a good memory card and what current prices are?
Thanks
I use Lexar 1000x UHS-II U3 V60 card. Compared to Sandisk 80mb/s card, there is a difference of 9 seconds for complete processing of a full Hi burst.
That card seems a bit overkill in terms of the specs as I don't think the nx500 supports it fully does it?
It does
The card I use is a cheap transcend card that I've never had any issue with buffering in hi burst on the NX1, which has a quicker burst than the nx500.
I'm sure, but the question is: will Lexar 1000x perform faster? It probably would because your Transcend card has a maximum write speed of 60mb/sec, while Lexar 1000x has a minimum write speed of 60mb/sec :-). The difference would be apparent in copying files to computer also (maximum read speed of 150mb/s vs 95mb/s).
Sorry, I was under the impression that nx500 can not take advantage of UHS-II whereas NX1 can.
No worries:-)
