Re: Epson P800 released in 2015

I've had my P800 for about 3 years and it's a nice printer producing nice prints.  Changes beyond following Canon's design of separate ink paths for matte and photo black ink is the paper 'grabber' design.

When printing a 17 inch page, the paper tends to skew just a bit when it's pulled into the print path.  There's little work arounds to keep this from happening, but there shouldn't have to be.  Well...if you use a roll, it doesn't skew.

Canon printers don't have this problem probably because the paper is lined up in the center of the carriage, not on the right margin.

In three years, I've probably done 6 or 7 head cleanings, so Epson seems to have taken care of the clogging reputation.

Would I replace my P800 with another P800 if it bit the dust?  I don't know.  I'd like to move up to a 24" printer and at that point, I'd probably go with Canon.  I chose the P800 for the roll option.

With all that, I doubt that Epson has a replacement for the 800 anytime soon.
