The plastic ring around the lens has no resistance

No resistance? So if you give it a good flick how long will the the ring spin for?

There is some resistance. It's just enough to keep it from accidental turns. I use it to change aperture with no issue. It's clicky but it's s cheap sounding click. It's super light and barely feels attached to the camera. If you turn it enough times it might snap off. I rarely use the ring so it's not too big a deal for me.

I'm more concerned about the evf. It looks nice and big, but the housing (which you have to pull and push) is thin plastic and it wiggles a bit. The little box might detach if you put too much strain on it.

Another thing is when holding the camera, you can easily push down on the evf and flaah covers on the top and they depress and flex a bit, like giant rectangular buttons. This is the thing that always reminds me of the chintzy body. If I'm filming something and need my right hand, i grab the whole body including the top with my left and my fingers are holding on to these wobbly flexy "buttons". It doesn't really affect my grip or anything. It just feels chintzy. The rx100va I had previously the top covers were metal and had some gaps so it wasn't perfectly clean lookung but man was it tightly integrated. No give or wiggle. It was like one seamless solid piece to hold onto. The body was ultimately too small and the optical stabilization not good enough sadly.

The chintzy plastic is disappointing. I expect this level of plastic on a $200 camera. Not a $900 one. The camera is lighter but we are talking mere grams here. My initial impression of it being noticeably lighter might just be some of the flex I felt.
