Nikon 75-150mm e series or the 70-210 f4-5.6D?

I have a nikon D810 and im already using the 50mm 1.4D and the 85mm 1.8D. Im really really happy with the quality these "old" gems bring so i thought of testing one of the best lenses like the 75-150mm f3.5 E series. But apparently it seems a higher resolution sensor like 36mp would just cut short the IQ of a lens like this? I dont mind stopping down one stop from the widest but two or three stops... no. I tried finding online articles about this lens on a modern sensor but failed and most people said don't.

I can get the 70-210 f4-5.6D version. What do you think about it? Im looking for sharp subjects and creamy bokeh in my pictures.

Thanks in advance
