I’m trying to determine which prime lenses I would get the most use out of. Several users suggested I pull stats off my camera to determine what focal lengths I use the most.

Can anyone directly on how to do that?

Is there a better way to get that information?

Thanks!

Do you use Lightroom? If so, it's fairly straightforward to sort photos by focal length used in the Library module. You may be able to do this in Adobe Bridge, as well. I rarely use Bridge so, can't say from experience.

There are several good free EXIF reading & display apps. I use ExifTool. However, it generates EXIF displays for individual photos; not statistics for a batch of photos. (It's a pretty basic app so, you could potentially edit the command line to do a batch sorting based on focal length. But that's above my pay grade.)

A Google search for a free EXIF reader that does batch sorting may be your best pathway to an answer.
