Do I need to replace my i1Display2 colorimeter?

I’ve had my XRite i1 Display2 screen colorimeter for more than 6 years now and wondered if these colorimeters degrade with age? My reason for asking is that using mine to calibrate/adjust my old Dell 24” panel results in an overly green colour balance when targeting 6500K WB and 120 luminance. Wondering if I need to replace it with a new colorimeter, esp as I’m seriously considering investing in a new 32” 4K sRGB gamut screen.

Also I’ve read this article.
