Shutter count wrong?

I recently wanted to check the shutter count on my Nikon D700, and I thought the count was way too high. It showed almost 150 000 counts, and I thought that had to be wrong. I bought it used 4 years ago, and at that point it was at about 60 000. I checked my files, and I found that between january 3rd and january 22nd this year, the file number went from 3202 to 3205, but the shutter count jumped from 73 000 to 147 000. Does anyone here know how this can happen? What has gone wrong?

I didn't use the camera in the days between, and certainly didn't shoot over 70 000 photos in three weeks.
