RX100vi: Pileated Woodpecker
6

The pileated woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus) is a woodpecker native to North America. This insectivorous bird is a mostly sedentary inhabitant of deciduous forests. The term "pileated" refers to the bird's prominent red crest, with the term from the Latin pileatus meaning "capped". We have a lot of them in our river valley.

Yes the RX100vi can be used for birding in a pinch; of course theRX10iv is better, but did not have it with me today.
