Help - loading and using 120 film

I have a Graflex camera from the 1950s - medium format, uses 120 film.  Years ago I used it to take photos.  This week decided to use it again.  Bought and installed film. My question is for someone with experience with this era camera and film use.  I first called a camera shop in my city and no one knew the answer.

When you manually scroll the film, you look for the frame number in a little red window. So I stop at "1", take a photo.   Scroll . . . see the word Kodak, then "1" again.  Then 2, Kodak, 2 . . every number is repeated.

My question is, which number, the first or the second, is the correct one to use to shoot a frame?  Truth is my memory fails me, because I have used this camera but it has been many years.

Hoping someone can help.
