Try this if you can read Japanese: http://digitalcamera.support.fujifilm.jp/app/answers/detail/a_id/17361/~/%E9%9B%BB%E6%BA%90%E3%82%92%E5%85%A5%E3%82%8C%E3%82%8B%E3%81%A8%E7%B5%9E%E3%82%8A%E7%BE%BD%E3%81%8B%E3%82%89%E9%9F%B3%E3%81%8C%E3%81%99%E3%82%8B%E3%80%82

Google Translate renders that as follows:

With the FUJIFILM X-Pro1, the diaphragm blades are automatically switched according to the brightness of the subject when the power is turned on to display the LCD with the appropriate brightness.
Therefore, if the amount of light transmitted through the lens changes, for example, by tilting the camera, you may hear the sound of the diaphragm blades moving.
If you press the shutter button halfway, the aperture value will change.

Which doesn't really say anything we didn't already discuss.

No, they didn't say anything new. It's just an official confirmation in 2015. And there isn't any change till now. But since I have already described the work around, we don't expect anything new, either.
