Re: SD15 and Bike Action ...

Hello everybody,

thank you a lot for your tips and hints.

The situation that day was a bit difficult. There was no chance to get on a better location on the show area, because of safety precautions. Sun was very intensive and bright and other photographers tried to occupy the best possible place. Had to "fight" for my position here . So I focused manually on the fireframe, switched OS on, tried to get a good framing with the 18 -200 F3,5 to F5.6 and waited for the right moment to press the button.

I also thought about taking the 70-300, but then I would have had no OS, because I only have the older version of this lens and there was no way to use a tripod. The guys with the heavy Nikons shot 5 to 10 Frames in one sequence within a second, but the SD15 can not do that, so I had to try to get all the action in the scenery right in one shot.

Still you gave me a bunch of good ideas which I should remember the next time.

Thanks you all, I´ll keep on trying to become better in what I´m doing.

Rudi.
