I know I'm late to the party, but did the SRT100 or SRT100B have through the lens, off the film, metering?

All three had TTL metering, but it was not off-the-film. The meters looked at the light entering the viewing system in real time with the lens wide open before the film was exposed.

An updated metering system was introduced in later models and was known as Final Check metering because it metered again as the lens was stopping down, but it was not off-the-film either.

However, the X-700 did have the capability of off-the-film flash metering.

I think that the only Minolta camera to have Off The Film metering was the Minolta CLE.
