I've moved to a G9 from my GX80.

The size is one thing that I wasn't sure of  (I handled in store before buying) but when it comes down to, it the m43 system isn't just the body, so size is compensated by the compactness of lenses.  I go hiking a lot and find the system size is still a big advantage over a DSLR. The handling makes up for it and I still have my GX80 for the occasions the small size will be an advantage.

I haven't used a G80 so can't compare but most of your complaints about the G9 don't match my experience. It's a personal thing and unless you think you can adjust I would say sell it on. You shouldn't experience too much of a loss.
