According to several topics on the Dpreview forum, the Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art and Sigma 50mm 1.4 Arts seem to have some issues when it comes to AF.

How is this for both Sigma 24-35 f2 and 18-35 f1.8?

I am especially wondering when it comes to the 24-35mm, as this lens seems quite a bit newer.

Is it true that the 18-35mm is an APS-C lens, hence will be cropped when using it with the D850?

The 18-35 will only cover the sensor at something like 31-35mm with dark but correctable corners, if you remove the hood.

I'd just buy a 24-35 f2 with the Sigma dock, and if it was way out or uncorrectable, send it back. It's a bit more expensive but so much more suitable for FX

Well, Nikon does have a full frame 18-35mm G lens, which is not bad and is a cheaper alternative to the 16-35 f4 VR lens

Unless you really need the wide 18mm, I would say the Sigma 24-35 f2 is a much better lens  I use it on my D850 a lot and have few issues with it  There are moments when the AF is slightly off, but that happens with other lenses as well, and can be subject dependent
