Hi,

i'm try to understand if an APS-C like the one that is used into the M!00 is superior to a Micro43 sensor (16 megapixel) that is installed into an Olympus OMD EM10 MK2 or a GX85.

The APS-C sensor made by CAnon is superior to a M43? Or this is only marketing the use of a 24 megapixel sensor?

Thanks

The APS-C sensors in Canon's latest cameras are significantly better than the old 16 MP generation found in many m43 cameras, but only, if you compare modern Canon cams like the M100 to older m43 cameras like the ones you mentioned.

Modern m43 sensors, specifically the one in Olympus' current flagship models, is more or less on par with the performance of modern Canon APS-C sensors. This is thanks to superior Sony RAW performance and maybe some smart Olympus circuitry.

Probably the 20 MP Panasonic cameras like the G9 reach the same level.
