LCD in sunny regions, OLED in the north?

Good work everyone working on this mystery!

Regarding OLED and LCD, I had a discussion with a friend earlier today, he is a pro videographer ... he told me that OLED is better indoors, TV/Laptop etc, i.e. in controlled light, if you are outdoors in bright condition then LCD is better or better able to handle the bright light (or something around those lines ....)

In conclusion:

  • Little sunlight: OLED is preferred?
  • Plenty of sunlight: LCD is preferred?

Now it happens that most of the Europe (and to some extend Canada) receive significantly less sunlight than the rest of the world (in Russia the cameras are called G80/G90):

It is entirely possible that Panasonic engineers took this into account. Mystery solved?
