Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the eye-sensor?

Also, when I owned the original G5x, I enjoyed using the ring around the lens for step-zoom (the clicky detents were great for this). Does the mark ii work well for this?

I don't think there is unfortunately.

Yes, I can confirm the ring around the lens allows for step zoom.

If you just hold the camera up steady to your face using the EVF, it is fine.  But I found on a practical day of shooting, where I just take out the camera quickly for a shot in sunlight using glasses, the EVF is finincky depending on how you hold the camera.  It went back to the LCD enough throughout where I wasn't fully confident in using the EVF.  This was never an issue with the original, due to the proximity of the sensor.  It's unfortunate.
