There are so many threads about this. Usually Sigma or Tamron lenses, but probably all 3rd party. They were reverse engineered to work with Nikon. and firmware upgrades break them on the regular.

Which is why I try to avoid Sigma, which seem to be the third party lenses with the most common Nikon AF issues. They can put the word ART in the name to give it more appeal but I'll stick with Nikon optics even though they are supposedly inferior Lol
