Simulations come with pros and cons.

I agree that, as you've pointed out, real-world testing of large sample batches would be a better characterization of the lens results. We don't have these numbers and won't have these numbers until the lens comes out, though. Hence, we bicker over the simulated results instead

Keep in mind that simulation, however, is how the lens is designed and prototyped. They can't create physical prototype after prototype of different lens designs. These simulations hold very high value to the engineers at Fuji because it is what they use to craft the lens itself.
