***Mini Challenge*** ' Almost keepers....or the 'Missed shots' :)
Re: ***Mini Challenge*** ' Almost keepers (MiguelATF #1)
My first (who knows if there will be more?) entry into the Almost-keepers challenge was a shot I took approximately 2 weeks ago, strolling along the main boulevard of a Mexican city (Victoria de Durango) I am visiting. I was struck by a display of artificial hands in a window - but the shot I really wanted was the hands on the right-hand side of the frame - and a random passer-by on the left who I would be able to photograph right at the moment when his-or-her hand would be prominently visible in frame - and we could see the real fingers...contrasted with the false ones. I waited and waited and waited but it seemed that the universe really didn't want to allow me to take the shot I wanted...so, finally, out of frustration, I took a handful of shots with distant humans. I like (and liked) the framing of this one best - but for me it is still missing that human element I wanted...and finally gave up on in frustration.
