Hi, I am planning on visiting London in September to take some long exposure photographs and therefore need to use a tripod. Does anyone know where to apply for tripod passes for these areas:

Ghurkin, South Bank, City Hall.

Many thanks.

I sort of co-ran a photography club in London 10 years ago. It was very loosely organised, we would meet at 8pm on a Saturday night. The start was where we finished two weeks earlier. We would then decide on a route, and the group would spread out a little but not too much and everyone worked at their own pace, iirc we covered half a mile each outing.

Never had a problem with South Bank but security got real touchy at Queens Walk south of the wheel, and outside the old GLA building. There was something about that path between the building and Thames.

To give you some idea how stupid security was at Queens Walk, when we got to Downing St later that evening, we asked the Police officer if we could come in and take some photos - and he said yes! (Although we did make the blonde 18 year old girl ask).
