IMO they're difference enough focal lengths not to stand in for one another. I can use a 23mm to stitch 16mm shots, but I wouldn't want to crop 16mm to get 23mm shots (I tend to crop 23mm frequently enough).

But the perspective that different focal lengths offers one depends on the perspective of the operator involved.

Bob you are a 23f2 user, not 23 1.4 correct?

I was fairly certain that it was your images with the 23f2 that made me get the f2 version.

I'm not responsible for my child or my images, after they're developed.  You'll have to take that up with one of them.  [g] .  [Thanks]

Worth noting that the 23f2 has a field of view closer to 21.5 if I'm not mistaken.

I suppose.
