18-55 bokeh woes
2

Ok so my first lens for my x-pro 2 was the 18-55 and I thought I'd got a bum one. I didn;t replace it until the other day as I wanted a standard zoom to take on holiday with my newish X-h1. I have found the same issue. Very poor bokeh in the foliage at the background of the image. Weird doughnuts and tube-like features. I compared it with the 35mm f2 I own at the same focal lenght and it's like chalk and cheese to me. I wonder why everyone seems to rave about this lens.

So I suppose I've gotta spring for the 16-55 and bear the extra wight too. Gutted. There needs to be another alternative.

Top 18-55 f3.6 35mm. Bottom 35mm f2 prime @ f3.6
