But the sigma primes lack OSS. If you want to use sigma primes you probably pair them with a6500 so you miss a6400 superior AF capabilities. If you want OSS primes and a6400 you have to buy the ones from Sony which are F1.8 :/

Have you ever compared 1.4 with 1.8? There's almost no difference in depth of field at all, and the OSS means you can lower the shutter speed to compensate for the slightly narrower aperture anyway. Just get the Sony. They're not as sharp, but sharpness isn't everything, and often the sharpest lenses produce very flat looking images. They're also not oversized like the Sigma's, and tend to have WAY less distortion. The 50mm for APS-C is rectilinear, no distortion at all (it's also less than half the price). 1.4 isn't everything.

Sounds like you're just trying to defend or justify your purchase of Sony primes.

First off, there isn't even a 16mm f1.4 equivalent.

Second, the Sony 35mm has a ton of purple fringing and soft wide open.

Lastly, while the Sony 50mm is a bargain and pretty sharp wide open, I wouldn't discount the 56mm for the increased DOF and FOV.

Quite frankly, if Sigma had not released these primes for E-mount, Sony APS-C would easily have the worst lens selection out of all the mirrorless APS-C systems. Yes, even behind EF-M.
