“USB Power Mode” setting for keyboard

I just got a new Ducky One 2 keyboard. It’s a full sized keyboard with no LED backlighting and no displays of any sort other than old school status LEDs for NumLock, CapsLock, and so forth.

One of the options that can be set on the keyboard is “USB 2.0 Power Mode” or “USB 3.0 Power Mode”. I’ve never heard of such a thing before. Does anyone know what this is referring to? My searches for this have only turned up other people asking about it or having issues related to it with this particular keyboard.

My USB connectivity is a bit out of the ordinary. I’d just like to know what this setting actually is so that I’m aware of what should work vs. what actually does work when I try things.
