"bouquet"

The current issue of Communications of the ACM has an article on computational photography.  At one point it is noted that "...sensors, mirrors, and algorithms are used to mimic the look and feel of an image being taken on a high-end professional camera that has its subject in focus and the background out of focus, known as a bouquet."

This is an indirect quotation from someone in the software business, but even a direct quote could have been mis-transcribed or misunderstood by the reporter.  "A bouquet," with article, makes it all the more peculiar.
(Communications of the ACM, July 2019, vol. 62, no.7, p. 16)
