Really great series for the SX60.

Thanks.

As not original size hard to get a reading on sharpness but these are very good on all counts. Then too good post processing can make quite a difference.

I use FastStone Image Viewer, adjusting Shadow/highlight, Levels, Color,  and sharpness. Also cropping and Cloning , as needed.

Very basic processing is what I'm saying.

No Layers, Masks, and a host of other options found in PhotoShop and the like.

I had the 60 for a few weeks and now the 70. Neither better on IQ than the SX50.

SX50 was tough to beat in I.Q. Possibly the best of all the 1/2.3" type sensors.

It was weak in fps, EVF (size , refresh rate and resolution)  and the EVF blackout, AF at telephoto end and others that Nikon and Panasonic seemed to offer.

It just seems Canon (and others) push the optics to the max with little to no gain in IQ.

Some models did better , other not so.

The SX60 will always be known to DPreviewers as a step down in I.Q.  and that the predecessor, SX50 was better :).

How are you liking your SX70, DonA2 ?

The few upgraded benefits are appreciated but a few downgrades not so much.

Yeah..happens quite often  with so many of the camera's I owned, come to think of it

Would you say the I.Q. is  similar for SX60/70?

Thanks
