Let's make predictions, for fun!
2

I don't know about you guys, but I've always found it fun to join in discussions making predictions for next camera releases. I'm going to kick things off with my best guesses as to what we'll see in the next couple of years from Sony. Feel free to join in, but please, if you aren't interested in joining in or think this is dumb, respectfully, just keep it to yourself and move along;)

A9II: announced this year.
-36mp, super fast sensor readout but still not global shutter. ~30fps. Maybe Cfast. New AIAF with even more unheard of tracking features. 4k/60, but still 8-bit.

A7SIII: announced early 2020
-24mp, 4K/120, 6K/30, 12-bit ProRes Raw. 4:4:4 1080p. Maybe Cfast and SD

A7IV: mid to late 2020
-36mp, 15fps, 4K/60, 10-bit 4:2:2. basically the rest same as the A7RIV but with more phase detect coverage.

In summary, I think there will be more of a spread between the specialist roles these cameras play; R is resolution, S is pro Video, A9 is performance super sports silent assassin, and A7 is entry level master of none.

Let's hear some your fun predictions!
