Beginner help
1

Im new to photography, not a serious photogtapher, just want to take the best shots possible. I just bought a canon sx50 for general photography. Kids, wildlife birds etc.

Now I read a bit the last two weeks and trying to go out of auto mode. So here is the question. Im trying to use shutter speed mode with auto iso. I understand for moving subjects to go faster shutter speed and low light slower. But for the rest I dont know If my approach is correct. Most pictures I use the zoom and then adjust shutter speed so that the iso is the lowest possible. Mostly trying for iso 100 or atleast iso 400 or lower. Is this way of doing it ok for a beginner that dont want to go full manual mode or will this approach give bad results in some scenarios?
