Wildlife pics from local parks & wetlands, part 2
10

Here are a few pictures from my local parks and 2 favorite wetlands. Unfortunately, these will be the last pictures from my wetlands for a few months. Why, it's too HOT to be enjoyable & I like it when there are much more things to take pictures of. Also, one of my wetlands is closing for about 4 months.

As soon as Green Cay re-opens and it cools down, I'll be out there again. I'll still post a few from my local parks, but not so often since I will be very selective on what I shoot from now on. Here are a few pictures from the past week or so.

A limpkin portrait (wetlands)

A couple of racoons. (wetlands)

Great blue heron (wetlands)

Green heron (park)

White heron (park)

White heron (wetlands)

Tri-color heron (park)

A baby wood stork trying to stay cool. Most birds do this to stay cool, cuz it's so freakin HOT! (wetlands)

A spoon bill hanging out with a bunch of wood storks. (wetlands)

A few burrowing owls, since I ride my bike by then every day at the park

One of those owls with the rare genetic issue that give them almost black eyes, at the park.

Well, I hope you liked a few of them and comments/critiques are always welcome.

BTW, I'm leaving for a 7 day carribean cruise this Saturday, so I'll be absent from DPR for awhile. But, when I return, I'll be posting a few pictures of my travels.
