Olympus is doing a great branding job.

Just one question though... what did Olympus innovate with IBIS? They weren’t the first consumer camera manufacturer to use sensor shift stabilisation. It appears they were simply copying companies like Konica Minolta (now known as Sony of course).

You know as well as I do Olympus did not invent IBIS, right. You also know while the rest of the manufacturers  scoffed at Minolta IBIS at the time.....Olympus was the one to recognized something awesome and they coupled that with a great future vision. With this as background they became thee definitive standard on IBIS.....no one can get close to what they achieve with IBIS. We ALL know that is why manufacturers fall over each other to slap a IBIS badge on their cameras.....they know exactly what the value is OLYMPUS created, right.

If this was not the case believe me other manufacturers would have slapped their own interpretation of sensor stabilization on their cameras. The race would have on to have the best sensor stabilization. What is reality? They all caved, recognizing (admitting) what Olympus achieved cannot be matched by using the ONE accepted market standard IBIS......so simple, its commonsense, right
