I need to replace my battered EM5 bodies quite soon.

If our friends at Olympus do not come up with an EM5 sort of camera that is a big, big step forward all the branding, fru fru in the world will not stop me buying probably a nice Nikon Z6 or 7, or any other camera that takes my fancy.

If they continue with the same old tired 20MP sensor, well I will pick up a nice EM1ii second hand to do M43 duties.

Nigel,

I suspect you will be in the same camp as always. The newer camera will not be sufficiently advanced to warrant leaving the safety of your old E-M5, or it is too loaded with whiz-bangs that you will refuse to pay for, or it is too expensive for a not-full frame, or, or,.'

You seem to be happy with your new Nikons, and old E-M5, and I suspect you will continue to be happy...…..of course you will be really, really, happy if you find a deal on a lightly used E-M1 II. I can attest to that.

Well, I almost bought one but a good D700 D800 swap put the dampers on that.

Looking at the specifications, I realised I hardly "needed" anything it did over the EM5. I do a lot of old  buildings and landscape that do not need a sophisticated camera. The eye focus in my old EM5 works to perfection for concerts.

If the new EM5 really is just 20MP then I will get an EM1ii for M43 duties.
